The Course - Zebula Golf Course
Zebula Golf Course was the first Waterberg golf resort/estate early in the new millennium and introduced the exciting concept of golf and wildlife in a malaria-free region close to Gauteng. Encountering herds of animals during a round is common, and the birdlife is bountiful. Although fairly deep in the Waterberg, a smooth tar road all the way from the town of Bela Bela to the main entrance of the resort makes it easily accessible.
Zebula Golf Course was designed and built by Peter Matkovich in 2003. The brief given to the architect was to design a course that is playable for all levels of golfers, yet challenging for professional golfers. It is intended to be user-friendly, enjoyable to play and memorable. The course is an excellent example of a Bushveld layout with wide fairways lined with indigenous grasses and a variety of Bushveld trees.
The routing of the course is excellent and every hole is isolated with no interference from players on any other holes. The housing on the estate is set well back from the course and never comes into play. The distance between greens and tees is short on every hole. The course is built on level ground and easy to walk.
With an excellent climate and sufficient water, the course is normally maintained in good condition year round. Normal summer rain is required to keep the fairways strong and green through the winter months. We invite you to come and enjoy a round of golf at Zebula Golf Course.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Ready. Aim. Fire! Discover the thrill of aiming a shotgun at a flying target when you try clay pigeon shooting. Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced shooter, it will be a great way to spend your time!
A spring-loaded trap launches clay targets (not pigeons!) into the air and your objective is to shoot them down. Clay target shooting is an activity that caters to all ages with the minimum age for children at around 15 year.
An experienced ranger will be on hand to ensure you are safe at all times. You do not need shooting experience; the ranger will coach you in weapons handling and shooting technique.
Horse Back Safari
Horses and plains game share a common bond and perhaps this is why a horseback safari is often regarded as one of the most intimate and rewarding ways to view game. Herds are somehow less reluctant to allow horses into their midst, and it’s not uncommon to find yourself surrounded by animals, as one with the herd, while on a horse.
Our horseback safaris take place on a private and exclusive 280 hectares of panoramic African bushveld situated across from our main entrance gate. We currently have 2 horses and can accommodate experienced riders and beginners.
